Vesta Place: The HOUSE Project
We provide supportive housing for women who are experiencing homelessness. It is a shared, affordable, temporary living arrangement where we can house up to 4 individuals. The Housing Coordinator will work with tenants to identify and work on individual goals and longer term housing stability. There is an application process and if accepted, tenants may stay for up to 1 year. Each tenant has their own bedroom with a lock and access to the communal living spaces which include, kitchen, den, bathroom, and laundry facilities. All utilities and Wi-Fi are included at an affordable rate of $350 a month.

Please note, this is not emergency housing. If you are in need of emergency accommodations, call the Newfoundland Housing Emergency Shelter Line at 1 (833) 724-2444.
The HOUSE Project
The acronym HOUSE reflects our philosophy towards addressing homelessness.

Housing
We believe housing is essential to the physical and mental well-being of individuals and families.

Outreach
Supportive programming will be provided to women and families from the community, as well as tenants.

Understanding
Training will be provided to staff so that all understand the complex dynamics associated with homelessness. We will also continue to advocate for increased education and awareness by the community about the issues of affordable housing and homelessness.

Support
Individualized services that are flexible, as needs change, are the most supportive.
Empowerment
Through the development of in-house and community programs and services we will support individuals and families to increase their skills and empower them to make positive changes towards housing stability and personal independence.
