Understanding and practicing consent is crucial for healthy relationships and personal autonomy. Our sessions delve into the nuances of consent, emphasizing communication, boundaries, and respect for individual agency.
Bystander Intervention
Bystander intervention empowers individuals to step in and safely intervene when they witness potentially harmful situations. Our sessions provide practical strategies for recognizing, assessing, and effectively addressing instances of harassment, abuse, or violence in various settings.
Sharing Intimate Images
In the digital age, the unauthorized sharing of intimate images has become a widespread issue with serious consequences. Our sessions explore the complexities of online behavior, discussing legal, ethical, and emotional considerations surrounding the sharing of intimate images without consent.
Girls Empowerment
Empowering girls is essential for creating a more equitable society. Our sessions focus on building confidence, self-esteem, and leadership skills, while also addressing societal challenges such as gender stereotypes, discrimination, and access to education and resources.
Intimate Partner Violence
Intimate partner violence (IPV) is a pervasive problem with profound impacts on individuals and communities. Our sessions provide education on recognizing the signs of IPV, accessing support services, and promoting healthy relationship dynamics built on mutual respect, trust, and non-violence.
Youth Online Safety
Youth are at-risk of harm while online, including cyberbullying, sextortion, online luring, hate speech, cyberstalking, and more. Our presentation gives parents, caregivers, and youth workers anti-violence tools to help youth stay safe online, including parental controls, media planning, and conversation guides. We also offer a version of this presentation for youth which teaches healthy online habits and provides them with resources to get help.
What is TFGBV?
​Technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV), sometimes referred to as online violence, is a form of gender-based violence that disproportionately impacts women, girls, youth, 2SLGBTQIA+ people, Indigenous peoples, people of colour, and other marginalized communities. It takes place online (e.g., social media) or with the use of digital tools (e.g., GPS-tracking) and causes mental, physical, social, and economic consequences. This presentation dives into the topic, including forms of TFGBV (e.g., cyberbullying, harassment, sextortion, etc.), resources to get help, and how to prevent violence on your devices. It can be tailored for schools, community organizations, or businesses.
Scam Prevention & Online Safety
Scams are the #1 crime against older adults in Canada, with millions lost every year. This presentation goes over the most common types of scams (e.g., suspicious links, spoof calls, romance scams, etc.), ways to prevent being scammed, and what to do if you believe you have been scammed. This presentation can be done with 50+ organizations, retirement homes, and other organizations that serve older adults.
