This is a one-day workshop open to anyone who:

 - is in a care-giver position

 - would like to provide support to anyone who has suffered through trauma

Trauma is...

any event that overwhelms an individual's physical or emotional resources.

It may be directly experienced, witnessed or learned about.

Everyone has or will experience trauma at some point in their lives.

This workshop will provide some useful knowledge about the causes/types of trauma and

some of the best practices to use in supporting someone through a traumatic event.

Through presentations, discussions and realistic scenarios the personnel

at the Women's Centre will guide you through this worthwhile workshop

in a knowledgeable and sensitive manner.
